This is the Franz 5 recipe for Mastodon

REQUIRED

• Franz 5 or later Do not support older version.
• Mastodon account Do not have an account? Choose from "Mastodon instances"!

HOW TO INSTALL

DEVELOP VERSION

1. download the franz-recipe-mastodon folder.
2. Open the Franz Plugins folder on your machine (note that this dev directory may not exist yet, and you must create it):

• Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Franz/recipes/dev/
• Windows: %AppData%\Franz\recipes\dev\
• Linux: ~/.config/Franz/recipes/dev

3. Copy the franz-recipe-mastodon folder into the plugins directory
4. Reload Franz

franz-recipe-mastodon's Issues

Mastodon recipe no longer working since version 5.0.0-beta.23

With 5.0.0-beta.23, Franz has updated electron to 4.0.2 / Chromium 69. Since this version (including the current 5.0.0-beta.24), franz-recipe-mastodon doesn't work any more: It seems to block all other recipes enabled in Franz from loading as well. Franz opens, but only shows the loading circle for the recipe in the foreground. Unable to switch to other recipes, only exiting Franz works as expected.
After removing franz-recipe-mastodon from the dev directory, everything is fine again.

Badge count is not cleared.

Hello @sharkpp, thanks for your Franz Mastodon recipe.

I have set it up in dev mode in my Franz 5.0-beta.18. I have set up my account on mastodon.social and it works ok. The badge count goes up when there is a notification. But after checking the notification and even clearing it, the badge count still stands there. We are currently 5 hours later but the badge count is still there.

When additional notifications come in, the badge count goes up. Again, it doesn't get cleared, even if I clear my Mastodon notifications. Do you know what is wrong here?
