Please explain in the docs how to listen only for INSERT (not for UPDATE).

Upgrade pytest?

I want to upgrade pytest, but this gives me this error:

ERROR: pip's dependency resolver does not currently take into account all the packages that are installed. This behaviour is the source of the following dependency conflicts.
psycopg2-pgevents 0.2.2 requires pytest<6.0.0,>=5.4.3, but you have pytest 7.1.3 which is incompatible.

Would it be ok for you to upgrade (or relax) the pytest dependency?

Events created between init-db and poll() get lost.

I want to test my code:

    install_trigger_function(connection, overwrite=True)
    install_trigger(connection, 'lala_logofinvoicemail', overwrite=True)
    register_event_channel(connection)

    # execute INSERT

   for evt in poll(django_connection.connection, timeout=timeout):
       assert 0, evt

    assert None, connection.notifies

But: assert 0 does not happend.

Although connection.notifies contains entries.

Why not process connection.notifies always (even if select() returns ([], [], [])?

overwrite=True as default?

If you would ask me, then I would use overwrite=True as default.

It can cost you a lot of time to find the error why something is not working, and then you realize that
you used the old trigger.
