minecraftwireguardguide's Introduction

I am Shirotohu, I'm a programmer that mainly specializes in front-end development.

I have been programming for about 4 years now. In where I have worked with compiled languages, interpreted languages, computer networking, websites, 3D Modelling and much more. I am proficient with Python, C#, HTML, CSS, MySQL, and JavaScript. I also have experience with Java, Lua, PHP and Arduino though I am not confident in my ability to utilize those languages to their full extent! You can see the full list of programming languages and tooling below!

minecraftwireguardguide's Issues

Incomplete "WireGuard Alternatives" Section

Incomplete WireGuard Alternatives Section

I have create a WireGuard Alternatives Section to list other alternative methods you could use that are similar or achieve the same result as this guide proposes. I have done a little bit of that section but want to work on other things in the guide. There are to be two paragraphs associated with the alternatives.

  1. Brief summary of what it is
  2. How it compares to WireGuard / this guide

I understand that last point is a little vague. There are certain alternatives that you can't really compare to WireGuard. Therefore comparing it to the contents of the guide is a good alternative. Feel free to add what you feel is necessary.

Incomplete "How Does WireGuard Work" Section

Incomplete "How Does WireGuard Work" Section

Understanding how WireGuard works in a east to digest manner is a little daunting, so I haven't gotten to that yet. But it should describe how the day in the life of a request would go. It also isn't limited to that either, you could talk about the encryption methods or the source code as well.

Any bit of information works well.

Incomplete "What is IPTables" Section

Incomplete IPTables Section

I haven't completed the section on what IPTables is. For the basic structure of the paragraph I would expect that it would look something like this where you would have the:

  1. Point: where you would give a brief summary.
  2. Evidence: you would bring up some sources or information.
  3. Explanation: explaining the information that you just gave.
  4. Link: basically just reiterate your point.

Feel free to add anything you think is appropriate, the above is just a general guideline made up on the spot.

IPTables Configuration

IPTables configuration

The IPTables configuration is a very important aspect of hosting a server through WireGuard VPN. Getting it right is also an important aspect as depending on how it is configured will determine what peers are able to access within your local network. Therefore extra help would be welcomed when creating the tables.
