Implementation of WinBoard/XBoard and/or UCI-protocol for external engines

Hello,
two very popular chess protocols for engine vs. engine matches are:
WinBoard/XBoard (a.k.a. CECP) http://home.hccnet.nl/h.g.muller/engine-intf.html - http://hgm.nubati.net/CECP.html
UCI http://download.shredderchess.com/div/uci.zip

Other Java-applications like José Chess Database http://jose-chess.sourceforge.net/ or SJCE https://sourceforge.net/projects/sjce/ support both features.

A link to JRE http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html would be a good idea too.
