Personal Emacs Configuration

This is my personal emacs configuration. The syntax I use for use-package, is dependent on emacsit (Feel free to use it if you wish, but I wrote it mostly for personal use).

git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/SidharthArya/.emacs.d ~/.local/emacs.d
cd ~/.local/emacs.d
Emacs=Vanilla ./install.sh

And from within emacs

(org-babel-load-file "~/.emacs.d/init.org")

Every time the configuration file is changed, it is required to M-x config-compile.

Misc

I use doom emacs, sometimes, either to try and reproduce some behavior in my config or to use doom for it’s excellent programming support. If you intend to use doom, you should execute the following.

git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/SidharthArya/.emacs.d ~/.local/emacs.d
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/hlissner/doom-emacs ~/.emacs.d/doom
~/.emacs.d/doom/bin/doom install
cd ~/.local/emacs.d
Emacs=Vanilla ./install.sh
Emacs=Doom ./install.sh

And from within emacs

(org-babel-load-file "~/.emacs.d/init.org")

then you can start doom with emacs --config doom.
