fds_client's Introduction

Introduction

This is the client-side component of the FDS App. The client-side accepts input from the user, sends requests to the server-side component and displays results as updates to the UI. The client-side is built using ReactJS and React-Redux.

Pre-requisites

You need the following software to run this application.

  1. NodeJS
  • You need to install NodeJS and NPM.
    • Windows users can refer to installation instructions here.
    • Ubuntu users can refer to installation instructions here.

Deployment Instructions

  1. Checkout this git repository (or unzip the zip file) and enter the folder.
  2. Run npm install.
  3. Rename config.sample.js to config.js. Update the file to use the correct setup for your deployment.
  4. Run npm start to start the server-side component.

Refer to the database deployment instructions to setup the database. Also refer to the server-side deployment instructions to setup the back-end. After setting up all three deployments (front-end, back-end, database), you can begin using the FDS App.
