blobmoji's Issues

[REMINDER] Update to the new module installer!

Just in case if you are not aware, a completely new Magisk Module Installer replaces the old Magisk module template. This new format decouples ALL installation logic from modules, and encourages developers to use the provided API for installation. This new format is ENFORCED, meaning all existing modules should upgrade ASAP, and new modules are REQUIRED to follow the rules.

Carefully read through the updated docs!

Warning: All existing modules that does not use the new module format will be automatically removed on May 1st, 2019. Module devs: upgrade your existing modules ASAP!

P.S. This issue is just a kind reminder, you can close it after reading this message :)

Support for Telegram/Telegram X

Telegram implements Apple's emoji set by default. The FDroid repo has Telegram using EmojiOne, but neither conform to the system emoji set. With Blobmoji installed, these emoji render as set by Telegram rather than respecting the system. Is there anyway that Blobmoji could override these?

Emoji not showing after installing module

After installing and rebooting the system emoji are replaced with crossed out rectangles. Running stock Marshmallow 6.0.1 with Magisk 17.1 on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. This causes keyboard to crash when opening emoji panel: https://i.imgur.com/kA4udpX.png
Have tried removing and reinstalling module but issue persists. Have tried searching for a solution online but cannot find one, any help is appreciated

Emoji not replaced in Gboard and others

This affects my Samsung Tab S3 running 7.0 and my HTC 10 running 8.0 although in slightly different ways.

On my Tab S3, the blobs only seem to appear in Firefox. Gboard, Chrome, and Magisk Manager show the Samsung emoji.

On my HTC 10, only the Noto emoji that HTC normally falls back to is replaced. Textra showed the blobs but I didn't test anything else.

I know for certain that the previous notoemoji replacer that I think was also made by you didn't have this issue on the Tab S3 and I think it was the same for the HTC 10.

My guess, knowing very little about how fonts work on Android, is that unlike notoemoji replacer, which replaced the system's default emoji, this one only replaces the fallback font.

Anything else I can add? Thanks!
