A mod for Baldur's Gate II which allows you to, e.g., restore all the classic Baldur's Gate sounds, remedy a lot of audio-related issues, overhaul creature sounds, revive EAX support, and tweak NPC soundsets
iwds also shipped gore2 for chunking a frozen foe (our code says also for petrified; sound fits both; I think this was RE from the forum). I guess it would require more tobex work though.
I know these games are not supported yet, but for future reference:
Unfortunately EE patch 2.6 broke the selection sounds on the legacy loader where they play once and then stop playing completely when the game reaches the 7th line. The only way additional voicesets reliably work on that patch level is to extend CHARSND.2da with additional coloumns (akin to how EET or https://github.com/GraionDilach/Baldurs-Gate-Voice-Pack-for-EE-2.6 does it).
Otherwise I would suggest keeping this component classic-only.
The only thing that I dislike is that after the spellcasting sounds, you get the BZZZZ or the PIPIPIPI and it's kinda not appropriate (I take they point for a "status" change, like imprisoned?). I mean, you already "heard" the sound of the spell, why having the BZZZ or PIPIPI?
E.g Irenicus when fighting the cowled wizard in the monastery. But there are other examples, I forgot them (sorry).
ToB: another example: As soon as you get out of the pocket plane for the first time, there is the DRIN DRIN DRIN when fighting the soldiers threatening you and Amelyssan in Saradush.
Now I don't remember how ToBExAL handles it (iirc the last time it defaulted to mixed mode), but this is wrong for BG2EE & EET where these alots are at CRE 0x1D0 and onwards (although EET itself might also make this mistake during importing, that's something I'll check).
"Restore Gulp Sound" component was originally intended only for the classic BG2 because it's the only game with a missing gulp.wav associated with string 16233. As it turns out, in BGEE (with or without SoD) gulp.wav is present, but for some reason it isn't associated with string 16233; it must have been accidentally removed by the developers. This is a bug in BGEE.
A future version of Infinity Sounds will enable installation of this component on BGEE and add gulp.wav to string 16233.
