pool.pm's Issues

Imposter Stakepool

Hi,

I am the CEO of Cornucopias, recently we have started our own stakepool called COPI and it was almost immediately cloned by a scammer calling their pool COPI2 and linking to our website. They are clearly trying to mislead people to staking to them.

Here is their fraudulent pool
https://pool.pm/718268428577002a004ef37ef62933c21d82e41cd7816da381716291

and here is our real stake pool
https://pool.pm/dda4bc64e339336e3f7bc158177df0c71dc760ff11cb8b0651b3ece4

Can you hide or flag their pool as fraudulent please as this is harming members of our community and Cardano community?

thanks

Rob Greig

Disable Thumbnail Caching for On-Chain thumbnails

Hello, first of all thanks for all your work on this fantastic tool.

I noticed today when there was a temporary issue with the caching server that even fully on chain NFTs stopped working. It would be ideal to disable the caching of the thumbnail for NFTs when the data is fully on chain, I think :)

Pool.pm parsing error?

Pool.pm seems to have an issue parsing NFT metadata, saying Expecting an OBJECT with a field named 721.

Modifying this seems to fix it, but I should not need to, because I confirm on cardanoscan metadata is correct on

https://cardanoscan.io/transaction/b7850497136448b063e54e6266196bb4498be23183a030204cd0e7dbe4f06982?tab=metadata

The label 721 exists.

image

I double checked my metadata used locally for submission and it matches what is seen on cardanoscan, meaning it does include label 721.

Lastly, the images are not loading (or very slow) off IPFS.

Fragments and Anchors

Hello,

I was wondering if on pool.pm there was a way of implementing "html" anchors.
Reason why I'm asking is because I've created a bot that publishes tweets about Stakepool updates, example: https://twitter.com/DetectiveAda/status/1499842175311437827
In the tweet I've provided a link "see on pool.pm", but of course it only gets the user to the top of the pool's history. I would be nice if there was the ability of appending #block_number or something else in the URL, to allow links to point to a specific block or event in the pool's history.

Thanks

tails burn wallet may be blocked from /tokens page?

Hi we have a public burn endpoint and started getting complaints that tokens burned at this wallet do not appear in the list of tokens on pool. We see other tokens being burned and they show up on pool so we did some internal testing and confirmed - this wallet appears to be blocked on your end. Can you take a look?

Automatically add links to assets

If an NFT has a metadata attribute whose value is some other Cardano resource, automatically add a link to that resource on pool.pm or cardanoscan.io

Rearrange CNFTs

I contacted pool.pm with this question and they directed me to this place. Is there a way to (inside each project you own) rearrange your nfts? It would be nice so that you can match NFTs with the same traits in stead of that they are all over the place

Feature Request: adding metadata label 1870 for verifiable achievements and credentials

So far the metadata editor on pool.pm is limited to CIP 25 and the 721 label, so only this label is viewable on the website even if a transaction has other labels attached to it.

We propose to add label 1870 to pool.pm's metadata editor as it has a widespread adoption potential as discussed on this merged commit of CIP 10.

What is label 1870?
The label 1870 is the Open Badges v2.0 compliant metadata

Open Badges is an open standard originally developed by the Mozilla Foundation and now maintained by IMS Global to represent verifiable achievements (e.g. educational certificates or certificates from instructional lectures).

Open Badges are information-rich visual tokens of verifiable achievements earned by recipients and easily shared on the web and via social media. The Open Badges standard describes a method for packaging information about accomplishments, embedding it into portable image files as digital badges, and includes resources for web-based validation and verification. Open Badges describe who earned it, who issued it, the criteria required, and in many cases even the evidence and demonstrations of the relevant skills.

The standard has a widespread adoption. An example of a use case is the issuance of achievement badges for the UZH Summer School 2022.

Example of a transaction with 2 labels for these course certificates

Feature Request: IPNS Support

Information about IPNS: https://docs.ipfs.io/concepts/ipns/
IPNS could greatly benefit games on Cardano. Storing player or asset data on-chain would be expensive in terms of fees and transaction volume on the chain if the route of re-minting assets to update the metadata and change IPFS hashes is used.
IPNS can reference IPFS hosted files and be updated, to my understanding you could modify the data without re-minting the token by using IPNS therefore updating asset stats without costing the chain.

Unicode emoji rendering in Twitter thumbnails

Pool_pm links in Twitter do not correctly render automatically generated thumbnails, when (onchain svg) thumbnails include unicode emojis. Specifically, some emojis are replaced by their corresponding Hex encoding.

The policy validator tool is not working with NFTs minted with plutus scripts

I am minting the NFTs of my project using the following Plutus minting policy script:

{-# INLINABLE mkNFTPolicy #-}
mkNFTPolicy :: TokenName -> TxOutRef -> BuiltinData -> ScriptContext -> Bool
mkNFTPolicy tn utxo _ ctx = traceIfFalse "UTxO not consumed" hasUTxO &&
                            traceIfFalse "wrong amount minted" checkMintedAmount
  where
    info :: TxInfo
    info = scriptContextTxInfo ctx

    hasUTxO :: Bool
    hasUTxO = any (\i -> txInInfoOutRef i == utxo) $ txInfoInputs info

    checkMintedAmount :: Bool
    checkMintedAmount = case flattenValue (txInfoMint info) of
        [(_, tn', amt)] -> tn' == tn && amt == 1
        _               -> False

For example, the output script for the following NFT:

https://pool.pm/b431bb2eb71bbf88c86da85e9eafa609cc62dd9efda2562f345f31ee.Horrocube00000

Running the following command:

cardano-cli transaction policyid --script-file script.plutus

Where script.plutus is a file with the previous policy script as content returns:

b431bb2eb71bbf88c86da85e9eafa609cc62dd9efda2562f345f31ee

Which matches the policy id listed on the website:

https://pool.pm/policy/b431bb2eb71bbf88c86da85e9eafa609cc62dd9efda2562f345f31ee

However, if I try to place the script in the text box when the website immediately rejects it as "invalid policy".

Thanks so much for your work, I really appreciate it. NFT space wouldn't be near where it is without you.

Some tokens with a quantity of 1 are being labeled as fungible

Tokens being classified as fungible when quantity is 1

I'm not sure if this has been brought up somewhere else or is implemented on purpose, but some tokens that previously had a quantity of > 1 but then had burn transactions are still marked as fungible tokens in the pool.pm wallet page. However I also saw that this issue doesn't apply to tokens which went through a mint-burn metadata update.

The example someone found was this DexoWorld10724.

In looking at the mint history, two tokens were (accidentally) double minted in a single tx and then one was later burned. I guess this is what makes this token different than a mint-burn update, that the initial mint quantity was 2.

I'm not sure if this behavior is on purpose or not but I wanted to bring this up in either case.

Thanks for your continued support and development of pool.pm!

Feature request: update URL with policy Id searches to use as permalink to searches

It'd be nice if you could leverage pushState to update the URL whenever someone filters the list of tokens with a policyId.

https://pool.pm/tokens

Filter by: 8638ffe012ad4463aa87d1e92ca52ec7cd42fa1a6e7b1d73b95d3aad

It should update the url to something like:

  • https://pool.pm/tokens?q=8638ffe012ad4463aa87d1e92ca52ec7cd42fa1a6e7b1d73b95d3aad

And when the page loads with a query parameter, the filter box would be automatically populated.

This would allow us to share the links to specific searches or NFT issuers tweet out a link to see their items being minted on the chain.

Feature request: Add a way to randomly play and show music NFTs

Hey man-following up re: adding a ‘Music’ button up top which will essentially randomly display playable music NFTs. Singles, albums etc. Just as the SPOs display is randomized, this will be, too, thereby democratizing the visibility (though I guess there may be some glitch/advantage re: if an artist minted 1,000,000 NFT vs. an artist minted 1 but I do not know if there’s a way to circumvent that. Talk soon. Bob Peace

Not able to see minted NFT?

I tried minting on Cardano with nft-maker.io/upload

I see a thumbnail in my wallet with pool.pm, but when opening it up I get this error:
Problem with the value at json.metadata.files: { "https": "https://www.instagram.com/dangerpuss2020/", "ipfs": "QmZr3xYVsADwanDpZGHtU2AVVfAhgcRAxP3nKug7t88EHs" } Expecting a LIST

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. I've had some success on Tezos, and would like to branch into Cardano.

Cases where tokens with decimals value >0 do not appear properly in wallet view

We registered a token using the cardano-token-registry and set the value for DECIMALS = 3. When viewing a wallet with less than 1,000 actual tokens causes that wallet to show qty 0, expected behavior is to show either the actual qty, ie: 0.1

Example #1 (wallet contains 1,000 tokens and they are properly displayed as 1).
https://pool.pm/addr1q8e5ng9g9c7862sgerlm4nuawkpx5dwh8r44pa04jke5dy43vpt6tcxdcc8hvgvvpp9xsf5na982p4sz8dse4lew0vasp2qffr/a488229a

Example #2 (wallet contains 42 tokens and they are displayed as 0).
https://pool.pm/addr1qxe0fg6ssmx5l0jth0k49ls2uchka6sgd885zj7vugn386rwxeyfqjssktynummpwry386ddyfvzle76a7yyxmqln8rqvvc7j8/a488229a

I believe ideally we would like to see example 2 show up as 0.04 or 0.042 if possible?

Direct staking with Ledger hardware wallets

Ledger hardware wallets can be accessed directly from a web page via Web USB or Web Bluetooth. There are no browser plugins required and it works even on mobile phones (Safari on iOS supports only Bluetooth).

It would be nice, if I could delegate my Ledger hardware wallet directly to a stake pool via USB or Bluetooth. Currently I always need to install a browser plugin first and connect my Ledger to it.

Feature Request: Split Tokens page into two pages

The tokens page used to be so cool to watch, but now it moves too fast and nothing stays up for long.

I think it would be a good time to split it into two pages -- Token Mints and Token Transfers.

The right and left could potentially be separated by whether it is a known marketplace/dex transaction or not. Or, if it's just overwhelmingly known entities, it could have DEXes on one side and Marketplaces + random transfers on the other.

Tokens without 721 metadata are not displayed on tokens page

I am experiencing a problem where our token seems to be blocked from display on the /tokens page. I have tested multiple ways - by sending from an enterprise wallet to a Daedalus user, by sending from Daedalus to another user using Daedalus- at no time was this a transaction which was from one wallet to the same wallet. I also burned this token on multiple occasions expecting it to be visible - again it never shows up - we try this at all times of the day - it's not a load issue or number of tokens displayed thing.

Bad user experience for large images

Using pool.pm to view a wallet filled with dozens of very high resolution NFTs that don't have thumbnail metadata is an extremely slow and painful experience.

Can thumbnails be generated on the fly for sufficiently large images without thumbnail metadata?

I think that optimizing this would dramatically reduce your bandwidth costs and result in a much better user experience.

Thank you!

Images not showing when IPFS Companion is activated in Firefox

When the IPFS Companion plug-in is installed and active in Firefox. The IPFS images do not show on pool.pm. After disabling the plugin, the images do appear. I've reported this behavior with IPFS as well. Not sure if the plugin or the website is ultimately responsible for the behavior.

Add pool cost/margin in IOG/IOHK delegation list

In order to improve visibility and transparency, it would be ideal to show, even very briefly, pool cost and margin under the ticker name of the pool IOHK/IOG whales are delegated to.

Ideally there should be both active and current values (so to avoid around the epoch values reset)

Thanks!

Partial image for an NFT

One of our NFTs is only showing partially on pool.pm and I think it's a caching issue. Here's the NFT:

https://pool.pm/2e9b243db48643acff0ff2d4170f734641ad3dfd9af492f854c1420c.dendro_0332

It's only showing a sliver:

Here are the files as referenced in the metadata:

(large) https://bafybeieydl26bacxkjbtylhlci55d7jp5vycipkp4pg4t67a4fhyata5oe.ipfs.infura-ipfs.io/

And this is the NFT on our website: https://dendrorithms.com/dendro/0332

The buyer tells me the preview is showing correctly in their wallet, so I'm quite sure it's an issue with pool.pm.

If it's a caching problem, will it resolve itself eventually?
Thanks in advance!

I was wondering if pool.pm could implement a "dynamic view" with all over-saturated pools?

Pretty much like it does with whales, but instead showing a timeline, it shows a roster/grid of saturated pools.

Something like this, but showing each saturated pool https://pool.pm/whales/stake (of course that should be dynamic, and only show actual saturated pools)

Please and thank you

Thumbnail breaks using gw2.easy-ipfs.com Gateway (Pro.NFTMaker.io Gateway)

I just minted some NFTs using Pro.NFTMaker.io and it is currently using gw2.easy-ipfs.com as the Gateway for the IPFS Hash.

Those NFTs does not have a Thumbnail on Pool.pm when we view them in a wallet:
https://pool.pm/addr1q8psss868573q4jxpa9lyapsg26rt9k3l05acuak4yr0he24a2c7fp99npafecz638q2dz8uwz2fdjvet5j4af7e9mfsjp84fk
image

But when we enter the Token page on Pool.pm, we can see it with not problem:

image

This is the NFT IPFS Hash:

This is the Gateway link generated by Pro.NFT-Maker.io:
https://gw2.easy-ipfs.com/ipfs/QmRtM17k8aBwFhES6MRpeLpXkoM6T6XKhSnziWE8EQqMQ7/10001.png

If I Inspect any Token on Pool.pm and change only the IPFS Hash for my Hash, I get to see the Thumbnail, for example using Infura:
https://infura-ipfs.io/ipfs/QmRtM17k8aBwFhES6MRpeLpXkoM6T6XKhSnziWE8EQqMQ7/10001.png
image

But if I try to replace the Thumbnail link for the one Pro.NFT-Maker.io is using, the Thumbnail breaks:
https://gw2.easy-ipfs.com/ipfs/QmRtM17k8aBwFhES6MRpeLpXkoM6T6XKhSnziWE8EQqMQ7/10001.png
image

So, basically:
gw2.easy-ipfs.com Gateway is not working fine on Pool.pm, at least not on the Thumbnails.

Is that a problem on pool.pm side? pro.nft-maker.io? Gw2 Easy IPFS?

Can't find minted NFTs by name or PolicyID search

Hi,

Some days ago we did a mint test, and we could see our NFTs being minted in real-time on pool.pm with no problem at all. Also, we were able to search it by the PolicyID.

Now we actually can't see them on Pool.pm after pasting its PolicyID.

We can find/filter them by searching for the PolicyID inside someone's wallet:

But not in the General pool.pm website:

The PolicyID is registered:

Answer: Pool pm clears its 'cache' after some minutes. That is why I couldn't see it.
