Ruby gem for encoding/decoding integers to/from Base26.
It uses character set: a-z
for encoding and decoding
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'base26'
And then execute:
$ bundle install
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install base26
Converting an integer into a Base26 string:
Base26.to_alpha(12345) # => "rfu"
Base26.encode(12345) # => "rfu"
Converting a Base26 string to the represented integer:
Base26.to_int('rfu') # => 12345
Base26.decode('rfu') # => 12345
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
