jedis-osgi's Introduction

Jedis OSGi

Packages the Jedis client as an OSGi bundle.

I've adopted the Spring Bundles convention for the naming of the Group ID and the Artifact ID.

To use this as a maven dependency :

<dependency>
    <groupId>redis.clients</groupId>
    <artifactId>com.ninedemons.jedis</artifactId>
    <version>2.1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
</dependency>

jedis-osgi's Issues

Help needed

Hi Jon,
I was looking for a way how to contact you, but no luck, so I'll give it a try here.
I'd like to ask you for help. I have troubles to setup Redis connection in Blueprint OSGI environment. I don't know how to put all those services and pools together, too much new things at once.
This local-redis-datasource.xml example is nice, but I'd like to know, how "com.ninedemons.osgi.jedis.ds.ExampleDatasource" class looks like?
I'm completely confused by what is connected with what and what is injected where...
This another example, taken from your osgi-leaderboards project, is similar, but different in some key details, I don't fully understand, "filter="(osgi.jndi.service.name=jedis-pool/leaderboard)"" for example.

I'd say I understand how blueprint services works and what is the benefit, but I just can't put all pieces together.

Could you help me, please?
Thanks a lot!
