It does look a bit odd. I'll test a bit and see if I can reproduce it.

Can you try editing the panel.rc file and disabling the gradient pixmap 
backgrounds
to see if that helps?

I recently modified the gradient pixmap background. I haven't seen any similar 
issues
since, can you try using the latest version in the "Downloads" section and see 
if
this problem still exists?
