The reason the script is gone, is that an official packaging group has been
formed.
Once all the kinks are worked out, .deb packages will be available for Debian
and
possibly a PPA as well. It'll probably also get uploaded for Ubuntu 9.10
(Karmic Koala).
There are currently no script or packages, but there will be soon. You'll be
able to
just install everything via "sudo apt-get install gnome-colors".
In the meantime, you can get the same result as the previous script by clicking
on
the "Downloads" tab of this site, getting the files you need, and doing the
following:
-Extract Shiki-Colors archive into /usr/share/themes as root, or drag n' drop
the
file into the Appearance Preferences.
-Extract the individual archives inside the GNOME-Colors package into
/usr/share/icons as root, or drag n' drop them into the appearance preferences.
-Install the individual GDM themes in the Arc-Colors package with the Login
Admin tool.
-Save the wallpapers anywhere you want, and add them in the appearance
preferences.
-Set the font sizes at 8px.
That's pretty much all the script did, and it's something you can do in less
than 5
minutes until official debian packages are available.

A nice.
You should put a installation guide for dummies in your wiki. Then I can hand
it to
my friend that just have started using Linux and see if he can manage to get it
to work.

You're totally right. I should create a Wiki on this site with all the info,
instructions and descriptions. That should also help people who get the theme
without
visiting the gnome-look pages.

A wiki with Instructions has been created. I did it quickly, but it should be
very
complete... I'll try to clean it up and make it look nicer some other time.

A bit of an update on this issue. I found the following unofficial PPA, which
has all
the very latest versions of the artwork in packages for hardy, intrepid and
jaunty.
Using this repository could be a nice and easy alternative to the script for new
Ubuntu users.

Nice. Don't forget to write it somewhere in your wiki. Normal users does not
read bug
tickets ;)
