v01 checklist

SCH:
(1) RSET note exceeds the frame

BRD:
(1) Dimension wire is 0.000008", should be 0.008"
(2) Jumper overlap errors need approval (DRC)
(3) PWR LED silk and PWR LED jumper silk are slightly off-center from pads
(4) tSTOP on C1 VIN pad is slightly overlapping the GND pour and could expose copper

EN disabled - High current consumption

Hi folks,

I'm not sure if the SparkFun Buck-Boost will ever see any hardware revisions, but I thought I'd report an issue and make a suggestion that doesn't require any modifications to the board, just a different resistance value.

When the Buck-Boost is disabled by pulling the EN pin LOW, the quiescent draw jumps significantly. This is due to the 10 kΩ pull-up resistor on the EN pin. For example, 5 V = 0.5 mA, 12 V = 1.2 mA. By comparison, the TPS63070 has a shut-down current of 2 uA.

The TPS63070 datasheet also states that "It is recommended to not connect EN directly to VIN but use a resistor in series in the range of 1kΩ to 1MΩ."

If the pull-up resistor was increased to 1MΩ, this would decrease the quiescent draw considerably (5 V = 5 uA and 12 V = 12 uA.

Is this something SparkFun could do in house?
