Fails to build project

Text from original issue:

I tried testing it with a few gradle projects, the build fails at some step during compilation. I am not sure if we need to include some additional things in the vagrant setup.

e.g https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-security gives

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':spring-security-messaging:compileJava'.
> Compilation failed; see the compiler error output for details.

scp command breaks when build inspector directory contains a space

Better error

We should print a better error message if someone enters a url that is wrong -
