Use ActionBar and add back button in 'ImageDisplay' and 'ImageDetailActivity'

Instead of adding to layout, use toolbar with back button.

Current toolbar like design in layout in ImageDisplay activity:

Add menu option to select order for sorting in 'Utility'

Sort the images in the folder to display them in the order of first to last OR last to first - from cursor returned query

Previous image flashing while opening an image

The previous images flashes before opening the correct image. Occurs when trying to open an image from the list of images in the folder

Manage Tags in Toolbar

Change Folder Layout option

Add different layout options and a menu item to select the desired layout. Current layout for folder - images in the folder are displayed as GRIDVIEW. More options required like List image details (name, tags, created on date) along with images.

Rename not working in Android 11

Menu items not visible due to image covering the screen

Add background to menu items
Menu bar disappears on touch
Appear again on touch

Manage "Tags"

(NOT immediate)

Display all tags
Delete a tag
Show all images with a particular tag, when that tag is clicked

Unable to add image tag in EditText

While clicking the EditText to add image tags, the keyboard is not opening, thus unable to type tags and add them.

Navigation drawer

Create a navigation drawer with menu items like "Themes" - to change color themes, "Settings" - any app settings, "About" - description about the app, "Tutorial" - the app description slides displayed at the beginning etc.

'About' - add introduction slides and provide link to User Manual

Delete image

Add a feature to delete the image. Give this as a menu option when image is opened.

Share image

Add a menu item to share the image

Zoom the image by using two fingers and double clicking

zoom in and zoom out alternatively with double clicks
zoom in with 2 fingers

search by 2 words returns images with either one of the words instead of containing both

"Edit tag" layout design changes with image size

The image size should be constant irrespective of the image dimensions. Also the title view should be of constant height.

Voice input

voice input where ever used input text is required provide keywords for search, add new tags etc.
