This project is inspired by the Twilio blog post.

It adds a couple of additions that were not in the original blog post

• KMS integration
• Rate limiting - Because toddlers like to click buttons

Package for deployment

Method 1

pip install -r requirements.txt -t .
zip -r poop-iot.zip *

Method 2 - This requires having docker installed

pip insall make-lambda-package
make-lambda-package --requirements-file=requirements.txt .

Configure Lambda Environment

These are the environment variables you will need to define. It is expected that they have been encrypted with your KMS key.

• TWILIO_ACCONT
• TWILIO_TOKEN
• ALERT_PHONE - this is the phone number to call when the lambda is invoked
• TWILIO_PHONE - this is your twilio phone number to call from
