vim-editor's Issues

Set default syntax language

Javascript is set as default syntax language on a new note, or when changing editors from plan text to Vim. Would it be possible to change this to e.g. Markdown?

Any hope of using Lu Wang's vim.js?

Lu's js clone (https://github.com/coolwanglu/vim.js) seems to be a more user-friendly and intuitive experience compared with codemirror. Lu's clone also handles a faster key-repeat/low latency responsiveness.

Also, the js dialog for command entry that's currently in the plugin is pretty suboptimal (not sure if this is a standard notes or a codemirror limitation, though.)

Anyway, just figured I'd throw this out there to see if there's any traction. Thanks!

Cannot figure out hotkey to copy to system clipboard

(on Windows & Web)

When using the Vim Editor I cannot figure out the hotkey to copy to the system clipboard. Neither ctrl+c works in insert or normal mode, and neither do the standard Vim techniques of copying to the + register.

However, when in insert mode, ctrl+v DOES insert FROM the system clipboard.

I can copy using the right click dialogue, but the whole point of vim is to avoid touching the mouse.

Change font size

Is it possible to change the font size without changing the UI scale (ctrl+/-)?

Markdown bullet list very hard to read in Midnight theme

Thank you for the great editor. The existence of the vim plugin is a key reason for the to use SN ๐Ÿ‘
My main use case is to edit markdown notes. I frequently run into the issue that I create nested lists and on the third nesting level I can't read the text anymore with the Midnight theme.

Not sure what to do about it. Maybe for consistency reasons and as a quick fix the highlighting of the third level could be made the same as that of the other two levels.

Updating CodeMirror

Right now we're on Version 5.31.0 released 20-10-2017. Upstream is now Version 5.46.0 released 22-04-2019. I ask because there is an issue with the preview for urls with underscores in them (opens an italics) and it seems like that is fixed in upstream.

Would you support a PR for this?
