gtm-server-side-wordpress-plugin's Issues

Purchase event is delayed

Hi there,

I'm noticing delays on my purchase event trigger. Within the GTM debugger, I see that all the events are fired correclty, except for the purchase one. The datalayer.push is fired, but on the next page visit right after the order-received page.

On the following exemple, I successfully ordered on my website, and went back on the homepage (because I didn't see any purchase event after placing my order):
Capture d’écran 2023-11-21 à 17 23 26

Have you done some tweeks or changes concerning the purchase event trigger condition??

Remove jQuery dependency in favour of vanilla JS

Not sure if it matters if WooCommerce queues up jQuery on all pages anyway but the event handling could be easily swapped out for vanilla JS. This will mean better performance on sites that otherwise wouldn't need to load jQuery, at least not on all pages.

Client side option for setting Cookie Keeper cookie

Hi, on some hosts the page cache / CDN is configured such that only a specific list of cookies are allowed to be forwarded to the server in order to keep a high cache hit rate.

Would it be possible to support setting the cookie keeper cookie in JavaScript instead of via PHP? Seems like it shouldn't matter if it's not HTTP only. Or would be good to at least provide client side as an option instead.
