touchpad's Issues

[Starbook MK VI - AMD] Touchpad stopped working and does not show up via libinput

I can't seem to reenable my trackpad. I have tried pushing F10 and rebooting. FN + F10 and rebooting. Trying this in different kernels. Booting into a manjaro live USB and trying to reenabel via F10.

When I run libinput list-devices, no "Touchpad" shows up. Same with xinput list.

Can you please provide guidance on debugging this issues? Is it possible it was disable via BIOS? I checked the BIOS (AMI) and there doesn't seem to be an option for it.

No version available for Ubuntu 23.04

The touchpad on my Starbook MkV had been working okay on Ubuntu 22.04. I've just upgraded to 23.04 and the right-click doesn't work. When I try installing this, I get the following error when running the initial sudo add-apt-repository ppa:starlabs/ppa:

Err:6 https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/starlabs/ppa/ubuntu lunar Release
404 Not Found [IP: 185.125.190.52 443]

E: The repository 'https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/starlabs/ppa/ubuntu lunar Release' does not have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.

Presumably that's because it's fairly new and there isn't a release for it yet? Any chance we could get one added? 😀

Ubuntu 22.04 still requires xorg.conf

The package in the PPA for 22.04 doesn't have xorg.conf, and without it on my StarLite Mk IV (running Xubuntu 22.04), it uses the synaptics driver leaving me unable to right click and left click results in a double click.
