Importers

As of now you can import posts from Wordpress.

Edit convert.php to your needs and then run the script with php convert.php.

Add support for importing attachments from Wordpress via convert.php

Really wanting to experiment more with Statamic, but unfortunately when I started blogging it was on Wordpress.com just so I could actually write. Now that I want to redesign my site, and begin blogging in markdown (plus utilize some of the other benefits of a db-less site) I want to migrate my content from Wordpress to Statamic.

The convert.php is a great step, but I also have a good deal of images that do not transfer with the exported XML file from Wordpress. Any thoughts to ways of importing the images from my Wordpress.com site to Statamic, without manually downloading each one?

If it helps, I found this ruby gem that supposedly works with SquareSpace exports (also Wordpress format) to convert it to Markdown and import attachments. Could this be ported to php? Currently seems broken [just opened issue request], but would be a huge asset to Statamic if something was worked out for us in transition from Wordpress.
