Billenum - Simple Finance Manager

Welcome to Billenum, a simple and efficient finance manager backend written in Go. Billenum helps you track your income and expenses, generate reports on your expenditure, receive notifications via email, manage a virtual wallet, and visualize your financial habits. This documentation will guide you through the core features of Billenum and how to set up and use the project.

Installation

To install Billenum, follow these steps:

Clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/stivo-m/billenium.git

Navigate to the project directory:

cd billenum

Build the project:

go build

Run the project:

./billenum

Configuration Billenum requires some configuration to work properly. Create a .env file in the project directory with the following structure:

Ensure you have loaded the environment variables by running:

Usage Adding Income/Expense Use the API endpoints to add your income and expenses. For example, you can use a POST request to /api/transactions with the following JSON body:

Generating Reports
