Timed out waiting for result error

What am I doing wrong? I have ExpressVPN installed and open. Same issue with previous release.

"Reached end of stream but expected 4 more bytes."

I very often get the message "Reached end of stream but expected 4 more bytes." in red characters. When I get it, the function I want to call isn't executed.

I can find no pattern as to when I get it. If I give the command "expresso status" several times in a row, I sometimes get the wanted result:

VPN connected to 'Denmark' (78)

but other times:

Reached end of stream but expected 4 more bytes.

Here is an actual session in CMD; each command was executed within 1-2 seconds from the previous:

I also get the "Reached end of stream but expected 4 more bytes." when issuing disconnect and connect commands, again unpredictably. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't.

I even got this (!):

So executing expresso.exe with no arguments can even give "Reached end of stream but expected 4 more bytes." But not always. It will work again a few seconds later. And then after a few seconds again not.

This means that Expresso is unreliable as of now. It sometimes works, other times not.

And I really can't find any pattern to it. It's not like it always fails. It fails sometimes, but only sometimes. It's like tossing a coin.

The ExpressVPN GUI client works fine when I interact with it.

Kernel panic causes MBP reboot

I'm guessing the issue is with ExpressVPN, but wanted to show this regardless in case I'm doing something wrong.
I'm using it in BetterTouchTool for the Touch Bar. It runs this code every 5 seconds:

I couldn't make anything work

Hello,

I have problem making expresso working on Windows.

What i did :

• Download latest release
• Install ExpressVPN Chrome Browser Extension

What i tried to make it work :

• Tried mutliple version (from 1.2.0 to 1.3.0)
• Tried many different commands :
  • expresso.exe CONNECT
  • expresso.exe connect
  • expresso.exe connect -c
  • expresso.exe disconnect
  • expresso.exe connect US
  • expresso.exe connect "us"
  • expresso.exe connect "new york"
  • expresso.exe -v connect
  • expresso.exe -v connect "us"
  • expresso.exe -v connect -t`
  • many more i forgot i use

What i always get :

• 0 outputs
• 0 VPN modification

BAT script i used :

Windows invalid extension Id case

If I change allowed_origins to allowed_extensions, the program still promt "invalid chrome extendsion id!"
I have check the extendsion installed in chrome, it is the first one in the list. May I know this program tested under windows? or this program only compatible with specific version ExpressVPN?

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The command expresso locations outputs the locations correctly.
But "expresso alfred" returns "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." How can I debug this problem? This is a new computer. On my previous computer when I type "expresso alfred" it returns the JSON as expected.

Because of this error the workflow is not working on the new computer.

It would be great if there was a "vpn off" command to disconnect

VPN on = connect to the last one used
VPN off = disconnect

Cannot properly make use of 'status' in a cmd script

Expresso status works very well, but cannot really be used in a script.

Rather than returning a full sentence, it would be great if it could return a simple boolean value of 0 or 1.

Suppose the user needs first of all to find out whether the VPN is connected.

In a simple batch script in cmd language, it is a pain to break apart the sentences "VPN connected to server" or "VPN not connected", to figure out their actual value.

I understand the full sentence actually comes from ExpressVPN, not by Expresso.

Still, is there any way to get status to return a machine-readable value?

Can this command used in Windows Plaftform

this project can only be used in iOS/Linux, is it right?

No manifest found with name: com.expressvpn.helper.firefox

only "expresso --help" works, in rest I receive this message: "No manifest found with name: com.expressvpn.helper.firefox" . Expressvpn work fine, same for firefox and chrome addons. Can someone help please.

Ability to check the Status of ExpressVPN

If possible, could you add a "status" option so we can check the status of the connection?

The result returned could be:

• Connected to [location]
• Disconnected

Get VPN status

Is there a way to retrieve the VPN status (ie VPN Connected or not connected?). Is this even possible through the web api?

Dyld Symbol not found

Receiving the error below after a successful install. Not sure if it's down to my system config but thought I would share with you to see if you had any ideas. Not sure what other information you might need!

Since this application is written in C#, would it also be possible to compile it for Windows? Or even a cross-platform version (I'm not super familiar with how .NET works)

Can you explain how to build the self contained executable like the ones in Releases?

I'm trying to create a MacPorts port of this utility. I see your HB formula builds a Windows executable and executes it with mono, which imo isn't really ideal (for MacPorts at least).
