Prevent unnecessary hyphenations

In section titles this can be achieved with titlesec.

In citations with citreproc, Pandoc's cslreferences environment needs to modified. BibLaTeX has some settings for this.

Can `floatfoot`s be vectorised?

Similarly to fig.cap, it would be useful if floatfoot arguments would be vectorised over plots. Thus it would be possible to generate captions and notes for multiple plots.

Fix ligatures in verbatim environments

Currently \defaultfontfeatures{Ligatures={TeX}} tries to add ligatures to all fonts. Although Fira Mono doesn't have any ligatures, this overrides upquote and thus results in curly quotes in code blocks.

Add longtable support

floatrow has limited support for longtable environments, see Section 7.2 in the floatrow docs:

Please note that almost all settings in the \floatsetup’s argument do not work inside longtable environments, except settings for caption width (see below) and plain horizontal alignment in the margins= key. So, during building of \floatsetup settings for the tables, be aware that you may use only something like style=plaintop or style=Plaintop, to place caption above, also you may use options of the margins= key, which use only spacing commands, like defined ones in this package (page 43), and do not forget settings for \LTleft and \LTright margins, which set the alignment of longtable environment.

Please see the caption documentation about how to build necessary caption layout when longtable environment is used.

While floafoots don't make much sense with longtables, supporting caption setup would be nice.
