Не работает local luacom = require("luacom")  для Lua5.4

Вариант 1:
Работает в Lua5.3, но не работает в Lua5.4
local luacom = require("luacom") 
local conn = luacom.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
local connString = "Provider=sqloledb;Data Source='WNIX';Initial Catalog='db_app';Integrated Security=SSPI; Min Pool Size=10"
conn:Open(connString)

Вариант 2:
А так работает в Lua5.4
require("luacom") 
local conn = luacom.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
local connString = "Provider=sqloledb;Data Source='WNIX';Initial Catalog='db_app';Integrated Security=SSPI; Min Pool Size=10"
conn:Open(connString)"

Разобраться с Вариантом 1.
На нём выдаёт ошибку "attempt to index a boolean value "
