How to create textures?

Hi, I've tried integrating this into my own project and it's been going fine up until the point where I tried to create an SDL_Texture. Every single method I've tried has ended up in some sort of compile error and I can't seem to figure out any way to get it to work.

I've tried creating the texture from a surface, creating the texture then updating it with the pixels but both methods ended up in some C++ compile error.

The furthest I've got was using untyped __cpp__ to try to get it to generate via C++ and while that didn't cause a compile error it caused my app to close while trying to update the pixels.

Is there any documented way on how to do this? I'd really appreciate the help

Example: 'framework not found SDL2' when attempting to run 'haxe build.hxml'

On Mac OS (M1 Ventura 13.4) when attempting to run haxe build.hxml in the basic-image-test folder I am getting the following error:
