asserto's Issues

Perfect documentation for `ends_with`

ends_with is the first mixin implementation, moving away from dedicated handlers to keep things DRY. It needs two things from a glance:

• Perfect documentation with mkdocs
• Tidied up and utility methods added, this logic will be quite repetitive throughout

Definition of 1.0.0 API

An issue to track which handlers we would like to see and a route to go live v1.0.0

user defined functions should update `updated_triggered` status

Expand testing matrix to be python 3.8 compliant

Distinguish `is_true|is_false` from `is_truthy|is_falsy`

Enable `mypy`

Plenty of outstanding issues that mypy would complain about; get it enabled for the current code.

Dynamic dispatch is clunky

Feels coupled to the bound value when instantiating asserto; should a mechanism for overwriting the value of an instance be an option?

configure `mkdocs` for automatic generation

mkdocs can be more automatic; let's create the necessary boilerplate for that

Add new action for pre-commit & poetry updates

independent of dependabot

`@NO_UNTRIGGERED_WARNINGS` does not work correctly

decorating tests with it does not suppress warnings

By nature; `Asserto` is a god class

Investigate patterns to make Asserto more 'composed'; by the nature of an assertion library it's actually quite difficult as any type may invoke the methods on itself

fix codecov updates

i think when implementing the matrix in github actions codecov has been failing to parse the xml

dynamic dispatch: support callables with args

Right now we only support attr_is(expected) for attributes that do not expect any args outside of the instance self; we can do better here.
