Yes, I'm on a Mac. And you were correct about the ${HOME}/.config/rational-emacs
. Must have been created when I first tried it out. After removing it, my ${HOME}/.rational-emacs
dir is found.

Yep, I'll look into this. More than likely, this is an artifact left over from work between versions, some people were helping testing this earlier were seeing this kind of thing, but they were pulling directly from my repo for testing purposes. If there is nothing in the ${HOME}/.config/rational-emacs
folder, you could try deleting it and see if that picks up the correct folder.
@ingorichter Can you please answer a few of these questions so I can try to replicate the problem:
- I assume you are on Linux or Mac, is that correct?
- Are you using chemacs2?
- Is
XDG_CONFIG_HOME
defined on your system, and if so, what is it's value? - Have your tried setting
RATIONAL_EMACS_HOME
to${HOME}/.rational-emacs
?
