Computer-readable list of D&D 5e spells

This is a hopefully complete and mostly correct database of D&D 5e spells in a computer readable format.

It may be a bit off in some places, as it was created by copypasting the list from the Basic Rules PDF, cleaning it up a bit manually and lazily parsing it line-by-line. The result is in spells.json, if you wish to generate it yourself you'll need a Perl 6 compiler with JSON::Tiny installed.

Please report any issues and discrepancies with the original list (I know that tables either aren't there at all or are completely wrong), and I'll try to fix them.

I'm not sure if Basic Rules license allows that (not too good at lawyerspeak), but if you Wizards are reading this, I'll happily comply to any DMCA takedown or whatever.

Missing lots of spells

I'm working on completing it now. Will send or push updated file once complete. Also, did you mark if the spell could be cast as a ritual in the school fields (e.g. "transmutation (ritual)")?

Request: Xanathar's spells

This is an awesome list, it would be cool if Xanathar's spells were on it too.

I would be willing to add them as long as you don't mind me updating the parse-spells script to python :)

Request for Class entry

It would be very useful if the template (and each spell) was equipped with also:
classes: ['Cleric', 'Wizard', 'Bard'],

That way one can filter out all the spells of Level 3 applicable for Wizards.
Some spells are available for several classes, so it must be an array.
