Hi Phillip, I noticed you are making some changes, and I'm not very good with the commit/pull request functions yet, so feel free to use this response below:

If you don't have an employer, and you are past the six month waiting period, you can apply for your NHI card at your local national health administration bureau. The process is the same as for any resident in Taiwan. Please check with your local office on what materials you will need to bring. It usually takes around seven working days.
