home-assistant's Issues

tellstick.conf

To make config easier and to not need to put an external volume to /etc/tellstick.conf ..

why not make a ln -s to /config/tellstick.conf -> /etc/tellstick.conf ..

that way all the configs will be in the same external config..

just my two cents.. :)

apart from that .. so far everything is working fine.. :)

Temperature sensors in telldus not available in HA

I have several temperature/humidity sensors that hook up to telldus.

These sensors don't show up in telldus until they have sent data that is caught by telldusd. These sensors will not show up in HA unless they have been seen by telldusd before HA is started, and since this docker image boots really fast from telldusd to HA etc, they do not show up in the UI to begin with.

My workaround for now is to go to configuration -> general and restart HA only after a few minutes when all the sensors have been seen by telldusd, but this is kind of annoying.

Do you know of some kind of work around for this? Can the sensors be manually added to the tellstick.conf configuration somehow, so telldusd knows about them on startup for example?

HA 0.98

I am somewhat ahead of the issue maybe but have you considered if it will be possible/feasible to bring Telldus support with v 0.98 as the official docker container will not use Debian going forward? I have tried to play around with this but my Docker skills are still quite lacking unfortunately.

tellstick duo on ubuntu 1804

Hello,
sorry for writing here, as it is not really an issue but a naive question:

  • i've just found out that there will be no official support for ubuntu 1804
  • i managed to run telldusd on VM (qemu+kvm) under ubuntu 1804 host, but it is not much convenient
  • i see there exists A 'docker stuff' that I dont have any experience at all:

Is there possible - on my ubuntu 1804 host - run (the outdated 1604) telldusd and use my script (located /usr/local/share/teldus/scripts/rawdeviceevent/) ? Using your docker things? https://hub.docker.com/r/taskinen/home-assistant/

Thank you very much. I am really clueless about the powers of docker.
