beeb2sf doesn't work

This is, strictly speaking, the wrong place to report this bug, but it's about a related program written by your good self, so I thought I'd mention it. Please remove if inappropriate.

beeb2sf doesn't seem to work at all, even on the games that the README says it should be able to process without error.

For some games it simply fails to recognise the engine. But here's how it handles a game it does recognise, The Sorcerer of Claymorgue Castle:

The numbers seem a bit off!

Word wrap will sometimes wrap too early on the last line in a string.

From Buckaroo Banzai, in the shed:

I am in a shed full of radio equipment

"equipment" should be on the first line.

Adventureland doesn't work

Adventureland (version 416) goes very strange.

lower case input is sporadic

It works on the short directions (N S E W U D) but not on data file defined words.

Working sample?

Hi. Is there a sample game with graphics that I can play in BeebEm?

The only downloadable sample .SSD disc-image that seems to work is Lone Survivor, but that's text only.

There's a disc-image named "saga.ssd", but I don't know how to get any of the files working. The same goes for waxwork.ssd. :-(

Your version of Return To Pirate's Island, which you uploaded on the CASA forum, works but it too is text only.

I ask partly out of curiosity and partly because there's been some interest at intfiction.org.

Template out engine compilation

E.g. Allow the engine to run in graphics and text mode.

Escape conditions aren't acknowledge

Pressing escape crashes the engine

VDU controls can be inputted

The input routine allows CTRL + VDU codes to be inputted, which plays havoc with the screen.
