Advance Chicken Coop and spawning chickens

I decided to build the Advance chicken coop. The bottom layer would be better to pick up chickens to hug them instead of the smaller coop. Everytime I hugged a chicken in the regular coop...the chicken wound up on the roof. I built the advance coop and vanilla chickens were spawned in the top layer. Not a big deal for me, cause I am about ready to do the spell to spawn them. Just surprised they spawned in.

Sand Crafting recipe

Trying to make the coke bricks and I need a lot of clay and sand...so JEI says sand can be made in the mortar and pestle out of gravel:

Put when I put gravel in the mortar...it shows and gives me flint:

I do not have the crusher yet and the coke brick needs lots of sand to make clay.

City quest/ Runic shears

HI! I want to say I am excited to play this again, and so far it has been awesome how smoothly everything works. Minus the usual Harvest issues lol. I have gotten into City- and ran into the first issue so far. The runic shears quest asks you to craft and use the shears to obtain wildewheat, spirit herb and fey leather. The fey leather was no problem but I tried and can not get anything using the shears on wheat and beets. Perhaps it's because you have to grow the harvest festival crops and can't plant the normal seeds? Or maybe I am missing something ;) But it won't work on the wheat at all, and right clicking the beets only gives me beets- and I have tried A LOT- thinking perhaps it was just a ratio drop.

Minecolonies and Tektopia integration

Couple disappointments today: 1. Allowing another minecolony in the nether does not work even when the config is enabled. 2. Tektopia miners do not recognize nether ores as ore. So, mining in the nether will have to be done using machines. Thinking of ways to incorporate tektopia into overworld city

Edit: A lot of the minecolonies structures are valid tektopia structures. So that would be interesting integration. I have already included a schematic for a tavern once you get to brewcraft. I am going to move this to a new issue so we can keep it open for discussion.

Cinderbella Seeds Beta 0.4

Ran into a problem that I hadn't before in Version 1.0
Trying to craft a cinderbella seed in The artisia crafting grid. I was able to craft it...I just cannot harvest the seed.
Usually when you harvest the middle plant...the seed comes with it....It stayed. Then I harvested all of them and the seed still stayed...I can't even find the hit box on it.
Any ideas?

This probably a port bug on HF, but the Crop reader doesn't take any damage durability when used.

Tek Topia quests not completing

The TekTopia quests are not recognizing for the quests. Finally got my Town Hall going and took the tokens out of the box and the quest doesn't recognize them.

I tried even to detect them and it wouldn't go.

Staff not recognized for Imbuer Quest completion

Beta Version 0.4
Made a staff and the quest book doesn't recognize it.

It completed the imbuer, but not the staff. Also it says to put a stick in the imbuer and the petal dust and you can get the wand...it won't let me do that either.

Grass clippings and impressions so far

Thanks for the heads up last night...downloaded it this morning. Structures found so far..Root huts and small astral sorcery structures (the non fountain ones. Expanded my grass patch and use bonemeal to attempt to get grass clippings....wooden shears didn't work, although the grass disappeared. Gave myself iron shears and attempted it and still the same thing...grass disappeared...no clippings. Odd thing..no sound...like blocks breaking or clipping...just no sound. Has grass clipping been disabled? Oh thanks for the backpack being back!

Edit: In playing more with this, I found I get wildroot and terraspores but not one grass clipping. Just odd that it doesn't have any sound.

Fey Crafter reward

Under the Hamlet quest line, under the Grove you need to make a Fey Crafter and the reward is a Fey Crafter. Do we need two Fey Crafters? I have started another world and so far no problems with the quests. I just was curious about this award.

Dirigible Plum seeds

Want to make sure about these before I fall down the rabbit hole, I am trying to make a dirigible plum. It calls for pumpkin seeds. You cannot make pumpkin seeds from pumpkins like before and the general store doesn't sell them. Only way I see to get them is to Make a Pam's market? How am I suppose to get the coins? I don't have garlic yet...I think it takes one garlic and one nugget to make a coin?

City quest line

Not sure what kind of issue this would be lol. I finished all the quests in City (went ahead and cheated in the wheat and spiritual herb for the sake of moving on) All the quests are green and no final chapter quest has opened, nor has the next chapter -Metro- to allow me to move on....

Blacklisted mob

Kinda confused. I was summoning my cows...and I went to pick the cow up with the lasso that was a reward and I got a "this mob is blacklisted" But it spawned from the ritual?

I haven't tried the pigs yet.

Weapons Rack

I've always used the weapons racks sold by the blacksmith. Never had a problem. Now I have bought them and tried to put them up in my ranch house and they disappear. I hear a sound like they are being placed....but no rack. Logged out and back in...restarted the game and no racks. I tried it on the brick, then on the spruce planks....Nothing.

I've used them before and had no problems. Not sure what is going on.

Edit: After playing with it..it seems to be associated with a particular wood one. The acacia one is okay. I am still testing the other ones...I will get the id of the item soon.

Edit: A couple of the first ones that placed have now disappeared. Not sure what is going on. I have moved to Overwolf launcher. I wonder if that is affecting downloads of the mods with the packs?

Crafting recipe for resturaunt

Went to make the restaurant and an apple is required for crafting recipe. With no apples from trees it is hard to get. I was lucky to get one in Jade's room, but that is all I have. Some people may not get any. Is it possible to award one with a warning to save it?

Vegatable wax

I am using the Nordic schematic of Minecolonies in my town. In upgrading the Houses to get the kiddos I need black carpet. How ever I am unable to get black vegetable ink. I thought in Metamorphoses 1, I could cook the vegetable oil to get the vegetable wax, but in this version it is uncraftable....I need sunflower seeds. Where can I get those?

Case of the disappearing Compost Bins

They did it to me again. My compost bins disappeared. I had just placed some bugs in them to compost and turned to cut some Spruce trees down, not 10 blocks away with my Harvest festival axe and when I turned around to put some saplings in the bins, my two bins had disappeared. Just poofed! No error warning or nothing...there one sec gone the next. I think this must be some kind of bug, but I don't know with what. I have put plenty of bugs in there to compost. Only thing I can think of is this instance is the instance I upgraded. Maybe it doesn't like being upgraded. Able to attach the latest log file, but I don't know if it will show anything. Maybe some kind of warning that bins from Canny Composter might disappear so make sure you clear dirt out of it frequently.

Fruit Trees decay into regular trees

I got two plum trees and planted one. Had fruit for a few days...then all the fruit disappeared.

I had an apple tree too. (I got lucky and found 8 apples in one of Yuliffs chests in his house I made an apple tree and planted it. It was a nice apple tree...but like the plum..fruit one day disappeared, just leaving a plain oak tree. I made another sapling of each from fruits I had picked and planted those. Plum tree had already decayed into oak tree. Apple tree hanging on for now.

Also what quest gives us spruce saplings?
The Apprentice Builder and the poultry farm gave me Jungle saplings as rewards, but I haven't had a spruce tree yet. I just got to the chicken coop and thought about it. Not a big deal I can buy one from the General Store.

Deer Antlers useful?

Hi Teagan...I have made a new instance to play beta 0.3
So far everything is working fine. Dumb me didn't read the quest book good enough about tumbleweeds (I just thought they were ambience) and now I am chasing them all over the place...LOL
I finally started having the mystical lib animals spawn and I know what the beetles are for...but the deer, other than the venison and the leather...what are the antlers for? I can't find a recipe using them. If there is no use for them, maybe add them to the compost bin recipes?

Jade got cheap

As you know in working with Modii, that Jade now only gives Hardy Turnips in exchange for flowers. It was not that way in earlier versions....not sure why she is doing it this way now. I have started two more worlds....and that is what it is doing now. Need someway to alert people to hang on to one of the reward turnips to finish the quest in the second quest line or give the ability to Jade's store to sell limited regular turnips. I am assuming what Jade gives in exchange for flowers is not editable?

Hemp seeds recipe...Unintended Craft?

Okay...you have 9 hemp seeds to make 1 harvest craft seed. Sounds good...put 9 in the crafting table pulled out a HF seed and still have 8 left in the crafting table.


I added another hemp seed and pulled out another bag. Still had 8 left. Is this intentional?

I also found that the minecolonies builder, When he clears land, He obtains all seeds that minecraft normally gets. (I obtained extra seeds (those normally in tumbleweeds)) and extra hemp seeds. I know in harvesting all that hemp, I only obtained 7 hemp seeds and the builder obtained like 40 seeds after building all my buildings. (I didn't realize he was getting them because he stuffed them on his racks and I didn't see them at first.)

Carpenter reset store, when log out of the game.

Hi, love the pack. I'm on version 0.6.5.3_beta, version 1.12.2. I had a problem with the single-player game. When I quit the game and come back to the carpenter store it had reset back to the start options for the blueprints. It seemed to be fixed when I loaded an older version of the Harvest Festival Legacy mod. From 0.6.20 to 0.6.18, and can now progress in the mod.

Questions..about farming

Confused about industrial hemp seeds.
Jenni's store has them at 1k for a plot of plants and they do not regrow. (kinda expensive especially when you get to having to make the sails. Do they grow in winter? There isn't a time for them to grow like harvest craft seeds, so I don't know if I can get in another batch grown before winter. Also the hemp seeds that come when you harvest them, Jei says they can be planted in agricraft crop sticks...I planted one to see and it planted, but it told me it couldn't grow

Maybe a suggestion for a crafting recipe taking 9 hemp seeds and crafting them into a harvest festival hemp seed pack? From the hemp seeds I have now...(I only have 7 from harvesting 45 hemp) it would balance out and save a player some money. That 1k is quite expensive in the first year when you are trying to get animals and beginning structures.

Nevermind...I forgot to put torches down. (I was doing this late at night trying to plant)

Harvest festival has cut back on seeds. I hope they compensated on the recipes that the players give you in friendship.

Obtaining salt

You and Modii are trying to get leather to finish that crate quest. First with the making of leather you need salt....I cannot figure a way to get it, without the general store.
For me to finish that quest, I just "borrowed" the item frames from the carpenters house. (one holding the tool and one on the bench.)

Is there a way to obtain salt before Jenni's general store is built that I cannot see?

New Barn Quest

I was trying to open the New Barn Quest to see what I need to start collecting. It says I need glowing dust quest to open it...so I completed that and it still didn't open.

Cow quest

On the cow quest, I did not get credit for either the brush or milker when I held them. I don't know if you have to hold both of them unused in your hand to get credit for them but you have to use the brush before he gives you the milker. I got credit for the trough, but not the brush or milker.

City quest/ ender lillies

Teagan- I know you said you haven't tested city yet, just wanted you to know I found a problem with the ender-lillies quest also. It mentions using ash to get ender pearls, which you need to make the seed. Since ash seems to have been removed- this makes this quest quite hard to obtain.

Rancher Quest Again

Rancher quest is not registering again. Kinda odd though. When Jim gave me the fodder and animal brush...it said on it completed. So I used them and got the milker...didn't check the quest book, then...before I used the milker..Somehow the fodder and animal brush became unchecked. I guess after I used them on the cow to be able to get the milker it became unchecked? I should have checked after I used them about that.

Actually I believe it is the ID of the animal brush Jim gives you not matching. I used a backup and did it again..and The Brush didn't registered, but the fodder did. I had a brush in the item frame in the barn and I tried that and it wouldn't registered. The brush that you buy from Jim is the one that it registers as completed. If you use the milker to be able to buy the brush..then the milker becomes invalid and you have to buy not only the brush, but the milker too along with another piece of fodder to complete the quest.

Question about compressed dirt

I could have sworn that you could uncompressed dirt into 9 dirt blocks. You can take double compressed dirt and decompress that into compressed dirt...but now I cannot decompress compressed dirt. Did you change this?
By the way...like the repeatable quest to update the Quest book, and that you added the farmer. My colonists are way too hungry!!!!

Sail Quest too long?

Ugh... I am trying to complete the sail quest so I can advance, I am in autumn 18 of the first year. The quest calls for 8 sails so you can upgrade the windmill. I know you can't change the cost of seeds....but I have calculated you need 32-33 plots of hemp to complete that task. First off...what time line to you expect that quest to be done? First year, second year? I know it isn't a time push pack....just thinking about keeping up advancement so people don't get bored. The only seeds that don't require watering so far is grass, (yeah I miss the blackberries lol) so you have to water all those Vegetable seeds to get money to buy the seeds or to eat to have energy to water so many crops. As it is I will have to wait until mid spring or mid summer of yr 2 finish that quest.

Youtube thoughts

Hey Teagan, I have been watching you and Modii on Youtube and some thoughts....you stated you didn't know why you put the animal ranch and chicken coop first to get was because if I remember correctly, was for the hay bales to get money early.

Second, is you are going to have to cheat and complete the general store quest later, You need the blueprint to complete the quest and you already used it. LOL....maybe you should sneak it up in the beginning quest for the seeds.

I wish I knew about adjusting the seasons.....I would have love 60 days for spring. How is that going to affect the festivals?

Back to Normal ? Maybe?

As life is starting slowly to return to normal here...or what passes for normal, I got some time to play a bit. I started a new world since it had been so long since I played. Guess what!!! Jade is back to normal and gave me the correct turnips. Aubergine seeds are back in the General store too. Seems they were there are along. Maybe Overwolf was not reading the scripts correctly? I am really interested to see if other things are back to normal too. TEST ON!! LOL

Modpack update

Overwolf finally put the update available. Installed as a new instance. I haven't seen any missing id's as of yet on loading, but when I went into a new world, I found an unusual structure. What is it? I haven't seen it before.

Silver Hammer Quest

I've had the silver hammer for a while and when the quest came up, of course it didn't recognize it. I mended the hammer (which worked for the axe and watering can, but it still didn't recognize it. I am assuming meta data is playing a role (it is ready to upgrade to gold)

I am trying to get a second hammer and upgrade it to silver, it is just taking me awhile.
