Description

Project Catwalk comprises a complete redesign of the retail portal designed to address the concern of an outdated UI. The requirements provided in the given Business Requirement Documentation define the new user interface required for customers to browse items in our retail catalog.

Installation

Fork the repo and clone to your local machine. After completion, follow these steps to install.

1. Run npm init to initialize node package management setup.
2. Run npm install to download dependencies.

Development

After installation is complete, proceed to setup the development environment.

1. Create new Node/Express back-end environment.
2. Create a new SQL/MongoDB - Mongoose database-server.

Launch

After development is complete, proceed to launch application into the browser. Ensure that the run scripts are correct within the package.JSON file.

1. Run npm run react-dev to launch the Webpack bundler.
2. Run npm run server or nodemon server.js to launch the server environment. If connected properly, you should be connected to the database as well.
