Help in using dropdown items

hi i was trying to implement a dropdown using json where i wanted the items to be displayed dynamically

creating a dropdown with dynamic items throws errror

The following NoSuchMethodError was thrown building

Class 'String' has no instance method 'forEach'.
Receiver: "${index}"
Tried calling: forEach(Closure: (dynamic, dynamic) => Null)
