Development Setup

Prolific Arch user; wouldn't be able to live without it.

Neovim is my go to editor, but sometimes I'm forced to use vscode.

minecraft-asset-extractor's Issues

Feature I can make

I can build a website for your projects for free. If you would like. I also can do trabsfer files.

[BUG] Opening sounds folder cripples windows.

Describe the bug
When I successfully open the sounds folder, explorer breaks.

Expected behavior
You should Open it fine.

Desktop (please complete the following information):
Windows 10

How to use the asset.

Step 1

Unzip the file. (Right click the file -> Extract )

Step 2

Open Minecraft_Asset_Extractor.exe (It's safe. I tested it out.)

Step 3

Select what type of version in the text box. (ex. 1.8.9)

Step 4

Click Extract and wait! It may say that it will not respond because the command prompt is currently extracting the files.

Step 5

Close the window, and enjoy your fully extracted resource pack!

(Note. This is a document. I will make a tutorial video soon.)

[Suggestion] Extract 'sounds.json' file as well

Currently this tool doesn't seem to extract the default sounds.json file, which is the file in resource packs that specifies all of the sound events in the game. I think it would be useful if this was extracted as well since this file can be very useful for resource pack creators who want to edit or add to the vanilla sound events.
