Closing as invalid because this is not an issue we can solve.
The problem is that Apple dropped support for 10.13 in late 2020 so it's missing an update that enables a root CA that half of the internet relies on. Some programs can work around this problem, most browsers do because they can afford it, but in general it's the OS's responsibility to keep root CA bundles up to date, not individual programs'. Many programs choose to not take TLS seriously and continue working in some sense of the word. Older versions of TPT weren't as strict about TLS and that is an issue that we've solved.
