lightningexchanges's Issues

OKX

OKX, previously known as OKEx, underwent a rebranding from its predecessor OKCoin. However, it no longer offers support for the Lightning Network. A recent check on their website confirms the absence of Lightning Network withdrawal options, limiting transactions solely to on-chain methods.

Info on Bitstamp incorrect

Bitstamp does not allow withdrawals and deposits as of now, they're merely running a node and signalling support. Correct me, if I am wrong - I'd be ecstatic to be wrong in this case.

Maybe it would be useful to introduce a fifth category before "Feel the power of Lightning" and "In progress...", something like "Signalling support"?

Add Minimum Channel Capacity column

Great list of exchanges, thank you for maintaining it!

I miss some information about the criteria that an exchange has towards channel peers.

For example the following exchanges have a minimum channel capacity requirement, meaning that you can't open a channel with them unless you are willing to put at least that much money on the channel:
Bitfinex - 0.04 BTC
Bitstamp - 0.0002 BTC
OKEx - 0.0002 BTC
OKcoin - 0.0002 BTC
NiceHash - 0.005 BTC
TheRockTrading - 0.0002 BTC
Southxchange - 0.0002 BTC

I suppose 0.0002 BTC (20'000 Sats) is the default value.

Bitstamp doesn't support using lightning for its exchange

Bitstamp "supports" lightning by running a lightning node and presumably forwarding transactions. However, since the exchagne doesn't support using lightning, I'd say its misleading to say they "support" it in the table. Perhaps there should be separate columns for deposit/withdrawal support vs some other kind of support.

Add Binance US

I'm sure Binance US is probably the same as Binance on your chart, but since these are separate entities (I think US is only licensing stuff from Binance), it would be good to have it listed separate.

The same thing for if you add FTX, since there's also FTX US.

Diff versus my (cointastical) list finds a dozen or so candidates to include

Just learned of your list. Great info, ... and from your list I found a few that I didn't yet have on my list so I've since added them. In doing that syncing work, I found that the following may be candidates to include on your list as well.

  • Strike
  • BottlePay
  • Flitz
  • Azte.co
  • Bitbargain
  • HolyTransaction
  • BTCDuke
  • BitNob
  • Vaultoro
  • Breez
  • Bipa
  • IBEX Mercado
  • Landifa
  • FastBitcoins
  • Graaf One

Incidentally, while BitMEX Research does operate an LN node, does the BitMEX trading platform permit LN (for deposit and/or withdrawal) yet? I've not seen any announcements on that. Can't check myself, due to being in a geofenced country.

KYC exchanges

It would be great to add another column showing if each exchange has mandatory KYC to deposit/withdraw funds

Add hodlhodl

Hodlhodl.com supports lightning and is a peer to peer exchange

Binance not support

BTC LN withdrawals on binance in Spain are no longer supported, chat support told me for regulatory reasons
