An Android app that shows basic weather information, precipitation prediction, and clothing suggestions based on temp and rain forecast, Dec 11, 2016
Android Studio must be installed.
- In terminal, navigate to your Desktop
- _git clone https://github.com/thejensen/android_warm-up
- Open Android Studio
- Open Ran's Road (Yes, I've been changing the app name. This is the correct directory name!)
- Click the green arrow to run the app in a Galaxy S6 emulator running API 23
Functional bugs
- If a user logs in with the dialog, they are logged in, but have to click log in one more time for the app to register their authentication status.
- Wish list includes 'play' arrows that suggest they are clickable, but are not.
UX bugs
- Users don't exactly know what the app does so, let's work on copy!
- If a Wish List has no items in it, the user is presented with a blank screen, womp womp.
- Since it takes a minute for the login or the API to load weather data, the user should know their info is on the way.
- Create account and login links on home screen are camouflaged by background image.
- Different lists for different weather params for bike gear suggestions
- About Warm Up section
- Pick a time to bike this day, and return that hourly forecast, and the bike gear suggestions for that hour.
- Be able to pick multiple times throughout the day, save the gear suggestions, and remove duplicate suggestions from the list.
- Allow users to remove Wish List items in UI
- Gear items in the purchase list show links and phone numbers to Next Adventure/REI/Other gear shops.
- Show the name of the city and state on the Weather page.
