Site Layout is completely broken like css is not linking or something

Custom logo

How do you put a custom logo in the upper left corner?
If I remove the .png logo I am getting mistakes in the layout on ipfs.(instead of the website I am getting the maps with files)

.active class for navigation links

I've looked at the theme, Hugo docs and bootstrap docs. Is there a way to give a navigation links an 'active' class name for the current page? My goal is to have the navigation link styled when it has .active class to indicate which page you are on. It seems Hugo has this capability, but your theme looks a little different than the Hugo examples.

I know this can be done in JS, but I'd rather use the Hugo capability if it is already available.

Single page for portfolio

This is a good taste portfolio template however when clicking the items there is no portfolio work show up.

Found only list.html in layouts directory but no single.html.

Kind of impossible to present portfolio.

demo link doesn't work

Compound filter based on tags and categories

First of all I have to say that the template is awesome. Congratulations!

I'm trying to make a compound filter in the portfolio page, similar to the one in the following example:

The colors would be the page categories and the shape the tags, so the only thing I want to add is a check box containing my tags with all options checked by default to re-filter the categories, but I can't handle to modify the JS code by myself.

Any ideas?

Problems with deployment on github

Hi there @somrat-gyver first of all kudos, your theme is the best! really loved developing on it.
I made changes and wanted to deploy them on github.
As i see i created a docs folder under master and hosted it on github.
To create the static files i just changes the hugo server --themesDir=../.. to hugo themesDir=../.. along with adding publishDir as docs.

Wrong URL of portfolio in homepage

Hi there,

The individual portfolio (for example project-1) has different URL in homepage and Portfolio page.

• In homepage, the url is http://website.com/project-1
• In Portfolio page, the url is http://website.com/portfolio/project-1

Thus make the project-1 not clickable in homepage.

Comments on Blog and sending form data into netlify forms

Any way we can add comments on the blog page? Is there any way this is possible?

And what should I add here do that the form data goes to Netlify Forms ?

Wrong type of pages listed in Blog section of Homepage

Editing footer.html

Hello, I used the one-click forestry.io, netlify, and git install of this theme. I am trying to edit the footer.html (\keithhardisty\themes\kross-hugo\layouts\partials\footer.html) file via the git desktop editor and when I save the changes to the file in my text editor, and then in git desktop, try to "commit to master", I see an error, as shown below.

Any recommendations on what I may be doing wrong. Just want to make some simple tweaks to the theme defaults.

How to add pictures inside my blog post description?

Is it possible?

Meta Title is the same on all pages

I set up a Kross theme site (https://salinipillai.com/) directly from Forestry.io, everything works perfectly fine except all the pages have the same Meta Title.

Whether it's the homepage, about, or blog page; all have the same Title tag which is bad for the SEO.

Any help to resolve would be highly appreciated.

How can I disable all section in the portfolio page? the page is taking too much time to load so

Insecure mixed content detected

When I follow the steps to set up the page using Netlify and forestry, ultimately I keep getting this error (Insecure mixed content detected) in many of the files and makes the website crash.

Image categorization is not working for new added images in portfolio

Hey! The image categorization is not working. When I add a new image from forestry and then when I set the categories, the images are not being shuffled from those categories. Can you look into it?

As you can see I have given the image a category

but it is not being shuffled in the website.

absURL not working

Hi, how are you?
I just setup a favicon, twitter card, opengraph among other but when checking in inspection, all image links don't work. They are "as is" for example {{ .Params.image | absURL }} produces images/social.png instead of https://examplesite/images/social.png

CSS on live site is different from local build, site also loads slow

I managed to deploy my site on Netlify but on top of it not looking like the local build (the CSS is slightly different, most notably the background color), the site load time is also painfully slow.

I checked all the gotchas and also looked up other similar problems on the site but haven’t been able to find a solution.

When I posted this on the Hugo forum they recommended I refer this to the theme creator.

Really the most important thing is that I want the background to look just like my local build and I would like the site to load at a decent speed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Numbers/Bullet Points in Markdown Content

This is a feature request to add bullet points and more importantly numbers to generated markdown content.

For example:

1. blah
2. blah blah
3. blah blah blah

if this above markdown is used in the site, the numbers themselves are not displayed, instead appearing as indented content.

I may be willing to submit a PR if you could point me to where this change could be made, I am a bit of a novice when it comes to customizing hugo layouts/formatting.

Image categorization is not working

As you can see even though the categories of the image have been defined, but the categories are to being shown in the website

Browser error: unexpected token ‘<’

Hi,

I'm using the Kross Hugo theme and experiencing an error. I can reproduce the error by creating a new hugo project, adding kross hugo as a submodule, and setting the theme in config.toml

Chrome and Safari show the error Unexpected token: < in line one of Index which is

Looking around in chrome dev tools, it appears 2 index pages are loaded, (index) page is listed twice in the Sources panel. I’m guessing the error occurs when the browser sees a second doctype.

Any suggestion on how to troubleshoot this problem?
