HTTP Basic Auth does not encrypt passwords...

With HTTP Basic Authentication the provided username and password are not encrypted.

Maybe it's a good idea to encrypt the whole payload with basic AES and decrypting it on the RPC server using a simple proxy?

I saw an example of such an implementation for Python here: https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=186.0

I will further look into this in a month after I finished my exams :)

Needs license

Please provide a license for this code since without one it falls under standard copyright and can't really legally be used by anyone. I'd prefer a BSD or MIT style license, but as the author, you can select what ever you wish.
