Eurorack Cassette Looper (or so, we'll see when it's done)

Hey explorer! This repo is just a construction site. We're trying to build a digital tape looper, that will hopefully become a desktop device and / or a Eurorack synth module.

Add recorder

• Records to a float array
• When a recording is finished, it creates a crossfade at the beginning of the buffer to have a seamless loop

Create plateau function to map potentiometer values

Idea: provide set of positions where plateaus should be as template argument, calculate piecewise quadratic/cubic functions with constexpr math, generate mapping function from that.

Add save & recall using SD-Card and fatfs

Add stereo processing

Allow stereo processing by adding a "stereo/mono" template argument to the DSP classes. Followup to #21

Add save & recall to the plugin

Add Looper

Looper integrates Recorder (#6) and Player (#7) and adds control logic:

• starting playback finishes a recording
• starting recording stops playback
• ... ?

Replace JUCE plugin with VCV Rack module

It makes a lot of sense to test the module in the form of a VCV Rack module plugin. We should replace the current JUCE plugin.

Define Minimum Viable Looper Controls and Layout

Define a simple control layout for a two-channel looper.
This should be a first iteration with only basic functionality to play, record, control volume and speed.

Add player

• plays back a loop from a float array buffer
• playback speed is adjustable and smoothed
• forwards & backwards playback is supported
• an injectable processing object processes the raw loop before the resampling (at its original sample rate)
• the audio output volume can be controlled with a smooth gain parameter

Check processing load on the ES Daisy board

To understand how many channels we can do on the device, let's attempt to run the DSP code on the ES Daisy Seed and see how much channels we can handle concurrently.
