versions.yaml not created on init

The versions.yaml has to be created when init command is ran.

[os-settings] set ubuntu screen recorder max length to infinite

org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/media-keys/max-screencast-length should be 0 instead of 30 (s).

[apps/git] add username & email configuration to configure script

[os-settings] disable software autoupdates

This often locks the dpkg frontend. Manually setting is in update-settings-gui.

Add embedded functions like add-to-path

Implementation idea: In dedicated script files, which are "included".

add tests for each application

could be done with a container-based installation.
Use local version script to verify installation succeeded.

[apps] golang installation doesn't work

hangs during sudo.

Also, make sure the export PATH stuff is added properly; In Ubuntu 20 only .bashrc is read if exists, so .profile is not an optimal location...

[apps] rename hypervisor to kvm

should be kvm/hyperv/virtualbox/vmwareplayer/vmwareworkstation etc.
Using just hypervisor is misleading.

add parameters to configuration script

Rename versions.yaml to apps.yaml.
For each app, add the option to have an additional config which looks like

<appname>-configuration: "a b"

Where the configuration params will be appended to the configuration script call.

automatically add autocompletions

Detect whether a shell is installed (f.e. bash, fish, zsh), then add the autocomplete for those installed.

Better implemented in code and create a new filestructure for that...

Releases should only have the release-specific changelog as content, not the whole changelog pasted

Adjust addToPath scripts so .bashrc is used instead of .profile (at least sometimes)

golang installation fails on mac os

eac install golang on mac fails with invalid memory address / nil pointer dereference at
pkg/eac/DownloadApp.go:58
