zoxenpher's Issues

Live help not complete

The "help" menu accessible from the splash screen is not complete and needs information on basic gopher usage and usage of Zoxenpher itself.

settings menu.

The configuration system is in place. However a settings menu will definitely make users lives easier.

Blank screen on startup

This looks amazing, kudos.

When I try to run it on macOS Catalina I get a blank GUI window:

Am I missing a dependency? Or maybe is macOS not supported?

history manager & history file

add a history manager and history file(s).
if single file, limit size of history file.
currently only basic navigation history exists.

This new planned addition consists of 2 things:

1. A gopher menu source view (complete with highlighting of faultily formatted lines)
2. A list of faults and problems encountered on the page. including network errors, server errors, formatting errors, and so forth.

It will be accessible via clicking the gopher menu window's error indicator (small green checkmark/ double red exclamation mark button), and have buttons to select each of its different views.

Media Playback Engine (MPE) and Zoxenpher Media Player.

#MPE
the MPE will consist of a playlist control system (in its own thread), that uses pygame's music type support to playback sound media.

#Zoxenpher Media Player and sound type links.
The user will interact with this via clicking on sound type links, and using the Zoxenpher Media Player window accessible from the new "media" button in the taskbar.

[both are currently stubs, the old sound type player remains in place for now]

bookmarks

Bookmark support would help usability in some respects. sure, its not /required/ to browse gopherspace, but its something that can be appreciated.
