dwmbar's Issues

no issue

Hello glad i found this, thank you. I didn't run into any problem.Nice job.

icons

which fonts are used here?? i can't display any icon from modules

`archupdates` issue

Although there are no packages to upgrade/update using pacman or yay, using archupdates on the statusbar shows between 0 and 6 updates available, a value that seems to shift frequently. yay does note a package as being newer than in the AUR and another as being flagged out-of-date, yet there are no updates available; pacman merely states that there is nothing to

I am pretty sure this issue has to do with those packages that have special conditions although there are no updates available (Updates frequently shows 2 available, and there are 2 [both newer than in AUR and marked out of date]).

Is it possible to ignore instances such as these to prevent this issue?

disksize issue

I am on Archlinux. disksize seems to be going up shortly after boot. My 1T SSD goes to 1.2T size.

Hide Updates if none

Hi !
I realized while using the "archupdates" modules that it is still showing even thought there is not update to do, using a lot of space for nothing.
Is it possible to disable/hide it when no updates are available ? It could even be a feature !
Thanks,

Lygaen

what fonts do you use?

hello! i currently have ttf-font-awesome and ttf-jetbrains-mono installed, it works for all apart from localip

do you mind sharing what font is best for this?

cputemp module does not work for alternate cpus

In the "cputemp" module, it looks for a line containing "Temp1" in the output of sensors. On my AMD CPU, the line starts with "Tdie". Here is the output of sensors for me:
k10temp-pci-00c3 Adapter: PCI adapter Vcore: 1.30 V Vsoc: 838.00 mV Tdie: +38.9°C Tctl: +38.9°C Icore: 20.00 A Isoc: 5.25 A

Problem with install.sh script

Hey, I think there is a bug with the install script. This line to be precise.

cp -r "./modules" "/usr/share/dwmbar/modules"

If you have already run the install script, you make some changes to any module and wish to run the install script again. This is going to copy the entire module directory and place it in /usr/share/dwmbar/modules resulting in the creation of /usr/share/dwmbar/modules/modules where your updated modules are placed but are not used.

image

I fixed it by doing following

cp -r ./modules/* "/usr/share/dwmbar/modules"

Have a look at this and let me know if I did anything wrong or how it can be done in a better way. :)

battery module bugged

battery module only shows % no icon, confirmed i can see the icons in the battery module script but not on the actual bar.

How do I stop the volume bar from breaking?

It keeps breaking during startup. It complains about the "pacmd" command not being installed. I use pipewire, and I don't know why it keeps asking. This is happening on the volumebar module. I can't get this "pacmd" command either.

[Error] - does not start due to syntax error

I am unable to start dwmbar due to an incomprehensible syntax error.

I installed it on arch using the yay package manager. Package: dwmbar-git

I wrote the following to the configuration file MODULES = "cpuload ram wifi time"
