data.tnris.org-svelte's Issues

RESTful Services

Looking for different to get or list the RESTful services, better in ESRI product.

image

To access the TNRIS ArcGIS Server, please use the following url in your ESRI software and select from the list of available services.

TNRIS/data.tnris.org#40

we can try it like the issue above or rework the text and allow the users to download the connection file to be used directly in Desktop or Pro.

WMS Link

That is the WMS popup link no the WMS link.

Data Link Weirdness

there is an erroneous link for NewBraunfels East NW. It is populating the New Braunfels East SW zip for download.
Here is the NW tile with the SW link.

Here is the SW tile with same link.

Add S3 URI and Site for Download Template - Historic collections

Im looking to add the S3 location to the data.tnris.org download template.

S3 site ex. - https://tnris-data-warehouse.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/index.html?prefix=LCD/collection/
S3 URI ex. - s3://tnris-data-warehouse/LCD/collection/
S3 Key ex - stratmap-2010-1m-lee-leon-madison-milam/

To do this for historic collection i think we will need to field or table to the DB, to hold the key (dir) locations. Unfortunately the key and collection names are the same and you can not build the URL|URI from existing information within the collection. The key location will need to be manually added by myself or @mitchellryant

Maybe adding it to the download template, under Metadata. Maybe collapsible too.

I think we can pull this information from the existing fields in Historic Collections. The folders were created from pulling agency, from_date, and collections name fields in the Historic Collections db and Acquiring Agencies table.

Historical Imagery Update

Is it possible to update the historical-aerail template? TNRIS to TxGIO!

Existing Text

The Historical Imagery Archive maintained by TNRIS is one of our most used and important data collections. It is comprised of over 1 million frames of photos covering all parts of Texas from dates as far back as the 1920s.

The TNRIS Research & Distribution Center (RDC) is charged with preserving this collection, distributing it to the public, and continuing with the large task of digitizing the frames.

New Text

The Historical Imagery Archive maintained by Texas Geographic Information Office (TxGIO) is one of our most used and important data collections. It is comprised of over 1 million frames of photos covering all parts of Texas from dates as far back as the 1920s.

The TxGIO Research & Distribution Center (RDC) is charged with preserving this collection, distributing it to the public, and continuing with the large task of digitizing the frames.

Not a super big deal but could we see about fixing the spacing on the text too, it vexes me!

EPSG Codes

The spatial reference should link out to https://epsg.io/ as a link in the metadata section. or did in v1. In the API the user selects a CRS and and it links to the other site. In the image below the highlighted text (3857) should be a link to https://epsg.io/3857

@ThorTheDestroyer brought this to my attention.

cursor and polygon outline indicates that changes are possible when not

Issue 2: When a spatial search polygon aleady exist the cursor change and polygon outline indicates that changes are possible when they appear to not be. Suggest updating to make changes possible, or updating the styling to not lead people to believe they are. Recording of example attached.

Date Mismatch

Seeing a date (Year) mismatch on some collections

Examples:

Data with Muitple Area

When a dataset collection has more than on area type, can the smaller area type draw first.

image

Download Areas

Should i always go the areas available?

When going from one download collection to another it does not always zoom to next collection areas.

favorite type of issue, hard to recreate. got it to do it once.

Outage Banner

Could we please add a banner saying the ArcGIS Feature and Imagery Server upgraded 11/13/2023?

We will be upgrading our Feature and Imagery Mapping servers 11/13/22023. ArcGIS and WMS services will be intermittently unavailable during the change window.

Thank you
TxGIO Staff

Joe would like banner to be up 2 weeks before the upgrade

Imagery Preview to TIS WMTS Layer

Currently the Imagery Preview layer uses the NAIP 2020 WMTS Layer. Proposed change to use the TIS WMT Layer.

The issue is that the TIS is a paid imagery service and we will not want to expose the imagery layer authentication details hard-coded in the front-end. Explore the TIS proxy options with Gayla, Lauren and Ryan to provide a secure preview layer that cannot be abused.
