Automated deployment of a fullstack app for OCR using Google Vertex AI - Powered by Terraform, Ansible, Github Actions and Nuxt

Prerequisites

This only works on Linux / WSL, because of the path used in host-vms.tf If used on MacOS, please change the path in the file host-vms.tf to the correct path

Create a service account with the following roles:

• Service Networking Admin
• Cloud Memorystore Redis Admin
• Vertex AI Service Agent
• Compute Admin
• Monitoring Admin

Deployment Steps

1. Save your gcp service-account credentials as service-account.json in the root directory of the project.
2. Run the following commands inside the /ansible folder to deploy and set up the infrastructure:

# Install the required roles
$ ansible-galaxy install -r requirements.yml

# Run the playbook
$ ansible-playbook playbook.yml

The playbook will then run for ~40 minutes and deploy and set up the infrastructure.
