Strange, it looks like there's an extra row that is added in my files, but isn't added in yours. This is resulting in an extra row being chewed off, which is why the script is failing for you.
I'm not sure why you've not got the additional line when merging, but I wrote some smarter rules for column deletion (checks to ensure that column is empty before deleting).
I've pushed the update to master, and I'm also attaching the offending script, now with fixes, to this comment (as an archive because Github hates script files as attachments).
