This is an extension to the code editor Brackets, and adds syntax highlighting for Gherkin files.

Enforce indentation for basic structures

Feature:
  In order to ...
  As ...
  I

  Scenario: This must be indented more than "Feature"
    Given should be indented more than "Scenario".

Only highlight children in parents

Only highlight Given When Then when inside correct scope (background, Scenario).

Same goes for Scenario inside of Feature etc.

Plugin breaks whole Brackets IDE when tried to open .feature file which contains " sign in the definitions

sprint 41 experimental version 0.41.0-13418 (release e642284b3)
build timestamp: Thu Jun 26 2014 10:52:39 GMT-0700

Reproducible in mac and win, too.

Gherkin plugin version:

0.2.2 - 28.02.2014

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create .feature file like this:

Scenario: "More options" section present for a user
Given user is signed in
When App is opened
Then user can see more options section

Scenario: "More options" section for a user contains some links
Given user is signed in
When App is expanded
Then more options section contains overview redirect link

1. Open this file in Brackets

=> Layout of the editor breaks
=> Other files open somehow but layout is broken
=> if Themes plugin installed, this menu disappears completely
=> Cannot navigate to the Extension manager
=> Cannot quit app from the menu
=> Cannot switch project directories

Workaround

Only way how to fix this is to remove Gherkin plugin.

Have a CodeMirror plugin repo, and then a Brackets wrapper repo that uses a git submodule to include the CodeMirror plugin.

Add line/block comment ability

Thank you for developing this Gherkin extension.

I'd like to ask for adding the ability of line/block commenting by Brackets' built-in key combo (default ctrl + /).

Expected:
ctrl + / comments out the selected line/block by inserting #s at the beginning of (each) line.

Actual:
ctrl + / does nothing with selected line(s) in .feature files

editing feature file in Spring 33 freezes as soon as you enter a colon

I am trying out the plugin for the first time, but didn't get far. I typed "Scenario:", but the moment I tried to type the colon, Brackets froze completely. I restarted it, and just tried some random text followed by a colon, and again it froze.

Might be bracket's fault, might be the plugin's fault...can't be sure either way.
