Never doubt how to pronounce a word. Double-click it and your browser will read it out loud for you! (Works on Firefox and Chrome).

Some people use double click to select a word and to then expand the selection to other words, as it would be terrible for you to listen to any selection out loud, double click pronounce will only read out loud when you double-click a single word.

Motivation

All throughout middle school and high school I was a pretty good english student, but ever since I started college I began to lose confidence over my pronounciation (as I didn't have english lessons or anyone to talk to in english). I find this really frustrating because 99.9% of my time online is me reading in english... So the goal of this extension is to practice my pronounciation english.

add url blacklist in options

I'd love to prevent Pronounce to run on websites such as Stackoverflow or Notion 😊

The extension does not work

I've installed the extension in Firefox 83.0 (64-bit) in Arch Linux, it shows the square icon in toolbar, when I click on it a popup with a single checkbox and an empty combo box appears. Nothing else happens.

Allow selection of language

My default desktop language is English but I am currently learning German. It would be nice if I can choose which language to use so that I can set it to de-DE. (I'm using it pronounce as a Firefox add-on.)

Can you make the extension for safari as well?

How about adding presentation😆

I find it doesn't work.....and i have no idea how to solve it😫

Chrome link not working

Hi @tryhardfifi, The Chrome store link that you provided is not working. Could you update it?

It always pronounces with native speaker of default language.

I set it as United states English Zira and I downloaded Zira voice on my OS, but it still pronounce with my language.
My language is Japanese. Do I have to switch the language locale from Japanese to English?
